Please join us for our August membership meeting! The Green Convene is announcing our 2010 local policy action initiative. This initiative includes a request to our members to join the E. ON - Louisville Gas and Electric Green Energy Program.
In support of our 2010 policy initiative, our August meeting speaker is Mr. Ken Slattery. Ken manages E.ON’s residential audit and green energy programs. Ken works with various stakeholders in Kentucky to promote the Kentucky Home Performance with Energy Star program, and tracks federal-level initiatives focused on growing the energy-efficiency retrofit industry and reducing carbon emissions.
Speaker: Ken Slattery was raised in Louisville and is a graduate of Ballard High School and The University of Kentucky. He has an extensive background in the field of green building and residential energy efficiency, and has worked in Washington State and Colorado before returning to Louisville to manage E.ON’s residential audit and green energy programs in March of 2009. He is a certified HERS raters, and BPI certified Building Analyst, and a LEED A.P. As manager of E.ON’s green energy program, he is committed to increasing the amount of renewable energy that serves Kentucky’s electrical grid.
