Louisville's Award-winning authors!!!
A Meet and Greet
with the authors of "Two Centuries of Black Louisville: A Photographic
History," was held in the historic lobby of the Henry Clay Building
during the Grassroots Gala. Authors - Kenneth Clay, Merv Aubespin and
J. Blaine Hudson entertained CFN members and guests for over an hour
with mesmerizing stories on writing the book. Afterwards, those in
attendance were invited to chat with the authors while having their
books personally autographed.

For Neighborhoods is partnering with Crescent Hill Radio to provide
neighborhoods a great chance to communicate their pride across the
airwaves!!!
"Pop Your Hood"
is a new radio segment that allows community members to chime in about the
good things within their neighborhoods.
"Pop Your Hood" is now open for
submissions to all neighborhood, homeowner and condo association and
Suburban Cities!!! Submissions may either be an audio file or written
scripts.
Click HERE to view the specific guidelines on how to submit and where to send. Your resulting segments will air starting in April
2012 on Crescent Hill Radio. Pop Your Hood will be included on the weekly community variety program Keep Hearing Voices, and also included in CHR's community announcement spots.

What is Crescent Hill Radio?
Crescent Hill Radio is a local nonprofit radio station that features only local and regional music,
programming, and community information.
It started out as a low power AM station on the dial (AM 1650), but is now widely accessed via
the internet, where it is available anywhere in the world by live stream, 24 hours a day.
The goal of Crescent Hill Radio is to provide local bands and musicians a place to air their music,
and provide a community radio station with participation from community organizations and

FREE Summer Movies Return to Iroquois Amphitheater

Council Members Provide Summer Entertainment For All!
First
run features and Hollywood Classics will light up the silver screen
when a new summer season of fun and entertainment gets underway with the
return of "Movies under the Stars" at Iroquois Amphitheater in May.
Members of Metro Council are once again providing free movies in the
magnificent setting of Iroquois Park.
We
are looking forward to another successful year. It continues to be a
wonderful way to showcase a great place to watch movies at the Iroquois
Amphitheatre. Bring the kids and blankets--this is a great way to
kick off the summer! Since 2007, members of the Metro Council listed
below, have sponsored free movies during the summer as way for families
to enjoy Iroquois Park.
