16th Annual Belknap Fall Festival at the historic Douglass Loop in the Highlands. Highlights: over 100 juried Arts & Crafts booths, music, family fun area, food, educational exhibits, and the KY Strength and Endurance Challenge. Free admission. Friday, 6 -9 PM and Saturday, 11 AM - 9 PM.

- Portland Possibilities: 21st Century Ideas for a Historic Neighborhood presented by Neighborhood Planning and Preservation, Inc.(NPP) in partnership with Portland Now. A public forum to be held at the Neighborhood House (201 N. 25th St.), 9:30 AM - Noon.
- Beargrass Creek Festival sponsored by Kentucy Waterways Alliance at Willow Pond in Cherokee Park, 10 AM - 2 PM. Music, fishing lessons, canoe and kayak demonstrations, and more - all free! So come celebrate our wonderful creek.
Billy Goat Hill Community Garden Harvest Festival, 2004 Payne Street (on the campus of Mercy Sacred Heart Village), 3 - 6 PM. Special Guests of Honor: Boy Scout Troop 40 and Special Guests: Roy and Tim Koons-McGee, owners of The Comfy Cow.

Center For Neighborhoods is excited to partner with the League of Women Voters to present the Metro Council Forums.
Each forum will be held in a neighborhood, making them more accessible to neighbors in that particular District. The forums will be taped by Metro TV for airing prior to Election Day. All of the forums will last 30 minutes and be moderated by a member of the League of Women Voters. As in previous years, the forums are free and open to the public.
