38th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade

Mayor Greg Fischer invites you, your family and neighbors to join him in the Ancient Order of Hibernians' St. Patrick's Day Parade. The Mayor's unit will feature a float visualizing the ideal green neighborhood surrounded by the folks and partners who "sow the seeds" in a green community.

Go "GREEN" with Greg - Put the kids in a stroller, the dog in a wagon, hop on a bike, strap on your skates or show off those well-used walking shoes and join your family and neighbors as we celebrate greening Louisville with Mayor Fischer!

  • Highlight your neighborhood or group by carrying your banner or flag.
  • Decorate your wagons, strollers, bikes and YOURSELF for the event.
  • Go ""GREEN" with Greg T-SHIRTS will be provided to the first 100 participants!
  • On the day of the Parade: Meet in the Phoenix Hill Tavern parking lot no later than 1:30 PM (look for the Metro Parks Dept. Go Green hybrid vehicle - Unit #32), check in, sign waiver and pick up t-shirt. The first 100 volunteers to check-in on site will receive a free t-shirt.

Guidelines:

- All participants must dress and act appropriately for a family

event.

- NO alcohol is allowed on the parade route or while participating

in the parade

- NO throwing of items into the crowd. Participants may walk

along and hand items to the spectators.

- All participants must be in the designated unit area by 2:30.

- Be prepared for cold weather and/or rain.

- Any animal walking in the unit must be on a lead and be

responsible for properly disposing of pet waste.
