The Grassroots Gala is the authentic celebration of all Louisville neighborhoods
providing the opportunity to showcase their individual character and unique
assets while celebrating our local partners.
Neighborhood Booths
Neighborhood, Homeowner and Condo and Suburban City booths will
highlight neighborhoods in many different, creative ways. This is your
opportunity to learn about many neighborhoods in our community, reconnect with
old friends, meet new ones and expand your network.
Local Partner Booths
Partners to Center For Neighborhoods and neighborhoods will set
up information booths to highlight their involvement in the community and
neighborhoods while demonstrating the benefits of collaborations between
neighborhoods and local nonprofits and businesses.
YOUR Community Awareness Booth
Stop by the Metro Council/CFN
booth: connect with your Metro Council District representative and identify
and/or register your neighborhood, homeowner or condo association or suburban
city. Receive information on your Metro Council District. Show pride for your
neighborhood by making an “I (insert
your neighborhood name)” button to wear during the gala. Record a “Pop Your
Hood” segment about your neighborhood for Crescent Hill Radio. Mark your
neighborhood on the community map, plus more!
"Keep
Louisville Weird" Raffle
Items from members of the Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA) will be raffled off during the event with tickets available for purchase online prior to the event; $5.00 per chance. $25.00 tickets for special “packages” will be presold online prior to the event. All drawings will take place at the gala.

Meet the authors of “Two Centuries of Black Louisville,” Merv Aubespin, Kenneth Clay and

J. Blaine Hudson, as they briefly reflect on their writings and
then greet them for an autograph session in lobby of the historic Henry Clay
Building. Books will be available for
purchase.

Enjoy a variety of tasty, local fares from Louisville’s finest food truck vendors – All on one street! No matter what you’re craving –they’ll have it: Lil Cheezers, Got It On A Bun @ Booty’s Diner, Holy Mole, San Diego Sandwich Works, Grind, Genius in a Box, One Hot Tamale and Louisville Dessert Truck.

“Down and Dirty” Kids’ Area with Breaking New Grounds
Learn how kitchen scraps, old newspapers and junk mail can be
turned into new soil by building a worm habitat to take home and discover the
wonder of composting.
